I have attended many precinct meetings and Republican conventions over the years. In my opinion the more 'open' the process and rules are, the better the experience for everyone. Confusion slows things down and frustrates everyone, so this is an effort to create a 'rough guide' to help that out. My experience is greater than some, and less than others, but in case you're wondering, I have held the following positions/offices (only #1 presently):

1. Precinct Chairman

2. Delegate to County, Congressional District, State, and National GOP conventions

3. Member of the County Executive Committee (OK County)

4. Member of the State Budget Committee

5. Member and Chairman, OK County Rules Committee

The above are volunteer positions and is not comprehensive. There are campaigns I worked on prior to the above, both paid and as a volunteer, but that was 30 years or more ago and is not relevant to this site.
